Benjamin BAPTISTE is Head of Financial Risk Management for Roquette (a global leader in plant-based ingredients and a pioneer of new vegetal proteins with world wide presence and important commodities exposure) and is based in Geneva.

After short experiences in the banking sector (BNP Paribas) and the software industry (Murex), he started his career in the commodity world 12 years ago within Roquette, first in a Front office position inside Treasury and moved quickly to the Risk Function.

He has extensive knowledge of markets on the mains assets including FX, Fixed Income and mostly Commodities (Grains, Energy, Carbon and Metals) and on the front to back processes associated (risk and control).

Indeed, he built the Financial Risk & Control function from scratch: team management, set up the new framework, building tailor-made KPI and analysis adapted to Roquette business (including both physical and financial positions) and new activities implemented in Geneva(Trading arm and unique markets interface of the group).

He has been speaker several years in a row in international commodity risk events such as ComRisk in London.
