Master in Commodity Trading

A World-class Programme

Set up by the University of Geneva, in collaboration with STSA, this Master is taught in English during an intensive 2-semester academic course combined with part-time job position in a commodity trading and finance related company. The programme combines therefore the academic rigor of a Master level course with practical on-the-job experience.

Special attention is paid to the selection of renowned professors and guest speakers, the aim is to provide students with the highest academic standards. To complete the learning experience, professionals from the industry are invited to expose participants to practical considerations and examples.

You will find general information on the Master of Science in Commodity Trading program and on the Faculty website.

Introduction to Admissions

This Master is designed for motivated individuals who want to work in commodity trading and related businesses, such as trade finance banks, certification, insurance or shipping companies, as well as audit firms.

The requirements are a good bachelor degree from a recognised University and the GMAT or the GRE, which is mandatory for all candidates.

The Master in Commodity Trading is for candidates with less than 3 years of work experience (any field of expertise).

To support the candidates in their recruitment process, STSA organises each year (except in 2020) a Speed Recruiting Session. It gives students a fantastic opportunity to introduce themselves and to show their motivation to about a dozen of recruiting companies, members of STSA.

Application for September 2021:  January 2021 to 28 February 2021.

For more information regarding the application, please see Admissions website.
